last time I remember people talking about this amount of partying was 1999...that was fun too...all the hoopla for absolutely nothing.

my plans include playing guildwars, sleeping and eating...and possible making some chocolate chip cookies.

yeah I was working for a utility at that time---they had everything planned out--a WHOLE DEPARTMENT for it even, people who normally worked the 8-5 shift were to be at work at 8PM and work until 5am!! another shift would come in at 10pm, and the final shift in a 2am...they had food tables set up, caterers standing by etc...I came in on the following monday morning...they had no problems, they sent the 2am shift notes to NOT come in, the 8pm shift got to go home early etc....what a waste since absolutely nothing happened.....funny thing was, the lady who was the secretary for that doomed department ultimately got my job (I was a temp holding a union seat--keeping it warm basically), so she was happy to keep working and my department was happy they had someone who knew everyone etc....worked out in the end (no idea what happened to the manager of that department though---).

so laundry today!

Did some laundry yesterday. Sheets. That is it. Going to have to do clothes next week.

Went out and got our wedding bands yesterday. Quite a chunk of money... But we got a free kindle fire hd for getting them. Which is pretty cool.

lol azzer!

actually DJ's are getting quite popular at weddings now...so I could easily see a band that just does weddings

and yes the cost of rings is not cheap--especially with what is currently popular (I went for platinum--very durable, and yet I still managed to flatten one side of it just by wearing it every day). Though I no longer wear my original set (too small and got caught on everything), I have my anniversary band (yeah they play polkas azzer) that I wear most often, though it too, doesnt fit well any more (arthritis) and platinum is a pain to get sized (cant just whack it a few times... you have to heat it and add and...$$$$)...so I have other rings I wear that have the look of a wedding ring (and that do fit).
so good luck with that pwnd!

Mine is tungsten carbide. Supposed to last a while so ya. Didn't go with white gold because the bands are so damn thin and expensive as heck. So I passed.

I have seen bands play at weddings. Though DJ's are much more widely used. Wider selection of music that way.

Hmmm, my engangement rings was failry expensive too, but who cares about prices when you got a needed girlfriend who is to lazy to work and me doing a job at minimum wage :P well it gave lots of fun on the sheet when i bought it, so does that make her a prostitute?, hmmmm who knows :P

DJ's, i don't like DJ's at all, they never have the music I listen too, damn DJ's

Ya the engagement ring was expensive. The wedding rings (bands) aren't too bad though. at least mine wasn't. Not in comparison to her engagement ring. But it is an investment.

Radio DJ's usually don't have a lot of music, but the wedding Dj's seem to always have more. So ya.

well, the good thing is usually you only have to buy one engagement ring (for her) ...since you usually buy a wedding ring for both bride and groom. (though mine doesnt wear his anymore--spent too much time with his hands inside computers and didnt want to get zapped by them).
I listen to lots of different kinds of music, so it wasnt too hard to pick for my wedding reception (though my nieces asked for the dj to play something I forbid him too--and he did anyways --almost didnt pay him for that grievous error!).

so I wonder what the dooms-dayers will talk about next week?

tomorrow: cookkkkiiiiiieeeeeessssss!!!!!!!

Ya, the engagement ring is an investment. That is how my mom put it. And it is true.

Cookies? No cookies here. Still trying to stay away from eating lots of sweets. Though cookies do sound good...

yes, but I am MAKING the cookies myself

(and the rings you should get back if the engagement is called off--and then you can keep them for another, or sell them off).

lol That is one expensive reminder.

Mine is an investment for sure. Also just made reservations for the honeymoon at a bed and breakfast.

Have a good Christmas as well Malice. Not to see you back on and checking in.

think we can leave the details of that reservation alone.

MALICE!! happy holidays to you too...(if you happen to happen back here....)

yeah, rings are expensive, but even if you wind up keeping it---you can still sell it off later, and even better, you wont feel badly about it since you arent taking it from someone you care about any longer ---

first cookies are in the oven!
